Job Description

Quality Control Inspector, Electronics/electro-mechanical Inspector. The quality inspector shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on electronic manufactured parts, assemblies, and boards, PCB, PWB, cables, hire harnesses Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications. The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to the customer via web application. The Quality Control Inspector candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on Electronic parts. The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified IPC standards. Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs). The candidate must have experience using various inspection tools. Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge of applicable industry standards like IPC-A-610 /IPC-600or equivalent is highly desired. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099) part time/as needed basis. Relocation is not available The position will perform on site source inspection, oversee IPC-610 (Electronics) inspection. Computer literate in EXCEL and Word. Computer not provided.


He/she must have at least 5 years of quality assurance experience, in an Aerospace industry which includes: The Quality Control Inspector candidate should have experience with test operations and electronic components. 2.Experience in CCA inspection 3.Ability to use magnifying instruments 4.Read and understand electrical drawings 5.Ability to write reports 6.Ability to witness test and understand electrical test data 7.This is a contract position only, Pay based on experience. 8.Travel time and mileage. 9.Pays portal to portal. 10.The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience at test and inspection in a manufacturing or production environment. 11.The Quality Control Inspector candidate should be IPC-610 certified as well as have experience in quality and source inspection on electronic components. 12.Computer required not supplied. 13.Cell phone required not supplied. 14.Candidate must be with-in 50 miles of customer location to be considered.
