Job Description

First Article Auditor (full time) You will be providing support for various customers supply chain to validate outsourced First Article inspection requests. You will be working with supplier to ensure they are following the AS9102 first article inspection procedures correctly, have their documents in order as well as entering and submitting their documents into the Net-Inspect© system correctly per our customers SOW. You will mentor and coach suppliers throughout the FAI submission process as delegated by customers POCs. Practice continuous improvement and recommend process improvements as well as provide status updates on overall work packages and time allocation. Identify suppliers with repeated or significant first article failures and develop an approved strategy / action plan to mitigate risk associated with those suppliers including but not limited to supplier coaching/training on AS9102. Other activates will include ensuring suppliers follow requirements specified in contracts to validate that the supplier has the processes for properly extracting and translating these requirements into the appropriate inspection, test, engineering, production, manufacturing, verify Calibrations on inspection tools, packaging/marking, shipping, purchasing, and receiving functions. You will validate the information is entered correctly by the supplier, you will be performing these duties in house, remotely and at supplier facilities. You will perform First Article validation, remotely when needed and when necessary onsite at the supplier facility.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience with Aerospace Inspection
  • The ability to read and understand mechanical and electronic drawings
  • Supplier management a plus
  • Demonstrate an understanding and use of AS9102 current revisions
  • Perform FAI verification remote reviews
  • 2 years of FAI AS9102 experience with in the last 5 years with Aerospace / defense industry
  • Aerospace experience
  • Demonstrate evidence of product specific knowledge and experience as required ex: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, software, GD&T, CMM knowledge a plus
  • IPC-610, IPC-600 a plus
  • Net-Inspect© system knowledge a plus.
  • Computer proficiency, Word, Excel, Outlook, web-based tools etc.
  • US Citizen
  • Drug screen required
  • Background check required
  • Some travel required as necessary 80/20
